The Non-Electability Of Rick Santorum

By Paul Zummo

It has become accepted as a matter of fact in some circles that Rick Santorum is completely unelectable in a general election. He is so outside the mainstream that Barack Obama would simply wipe the floor with him. I’ve even seen it asserted by more than one commenter than Santorum wouldn’t even match Walter Mondale’s electoral vote total.

The more extreme claim is patently ludicrous to anyone even remotely familiar with America’s political landscape. I would suggest that, at a minimum, no Republican candidate can lose the following states in the upcoming presidential election: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. I’ve left out states like Alaska and West Virginia that I think are longshots for Obama as well. That’s not exactly Mondale territory – that’s not even Dukakis bad.

Fine, you say, Santorum won’t lose every state. He still can’t hold the line in swing states like Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Missouri and others. He is just too extreme for these states.

Really? So the guy who won statewide election in a leaning-Democratic swing state twice has no shot in leaning-Republican swing states? Yes, I know that Santorum lost by 18 points the last time he ran in Pennsylvania, and that should not be so casually dismissed. But he did win twice, and he ran as a conservative no different from the man he is now.

As for Santorum’s 18 point loss – yes, it is bad and it looks strange that someone who lost by such a large amount in his last election could possibly win the presidency. I would just note that in November 2006 Mitt Romney’s approval rating in the state of Massachusetts stood at 34 percent. The only reason he was not shellacked in his re-election effort is because he didn’t even attempt to run again.

Just saying.

2012 Politics

2012 Politics, Part 2 - David...

Predictions for 2012 Presidential Politics

I am setting the stage by making these early predictions for the next presidential election in 2012. For anyone who would dare to dispute my assertions, please send me a quarter once my predictions become real and I am vindicated. It's all about Hillary by default!

It's sometimes between May and July 2012. Campaigning is at full swing. There are speculation all over about this and that. The President of the United States, Barack Obama isseeking a second term in office, however; the rumor mill is swinging. Rumors leaked directly from the Vice President Joe Biden's office intended to test the reaction of the American People.

Rumors that the Vice Presidentof the United States is withdrawing his name from further consideration on the ticket which, according to the experts; is certain to win re-election in a landslide against the party of "NO".

How can this be? What is the problem or what could be the problem? The economy is sound. Banks are doing well by lending and financing small businesses again.Wall Street is on a streak of sound investments and investors are dancing in the street. War - what war? The Nation has moved on from the debacle of 2000-2008 and prosperity is in the land. The Taliban has surrendered and the remnants were driven out of Afghanistan by locals. Iran has recognized the right of the Israelis to live in perfect harmony with their neighbors and ambassadors were exchanged between North Korea and South Korea. Cuba is no longer a pariah. Blacks are getting along with Whites and all things being equal, Whites are reciprocating and extending an olive branch to our amigos from South of the Border. It's time to get along. The Barackometer is now at its highest point.

Amidstall this, why is Vice President Biden not in the race for re-election? The last time, perhaps the only time in U.S history a sitting Vice President refused to run, it was because he and his under-study president had destroyed the goodwill towards all men and took peace for granted. So, the heir apparent to the throne in 2008could not bring himself to running for the same land he had pillaged for 8 years. No, he couldnt face over 300 million Americans and ask for another four years of rubbish-filled leadership. He disappeared to his usual undisclosed location. Now, Vice President Biden is bowing out. This is an oxy. It should not happen this way.He must be excited to run on the records of Obama-Biden for the next four years. Vice President Biden must be mistaken!

While accepting Mr. Biden's resignation, the President responded with praise and understanding of his desire to withdraw from the upcoming election.President Obama in his speech informed the nation that he accepted Mr. Biden's withdrawal withgreat understanding and expressed his thanks and gratitude for a magnificent four years. To the chagrined of those present, the President never took a single question from reportersbutoffered another news conference in the next few days. A week later, at a weekly briefing, the president appears unannouncedinside the Rose Garden to nominate the Nations New Vice President. Any surprise here? Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with great excitement that I nominate Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton as my Vice President for upcoming electionTo Be Continued

Ron Paul

Ron Paul

Ron Paul vs. Patrick Henry -- A Critique Of "The Revolution"

Ron Paul is by far the most stalwart member of the U.S. Congress and a true American hero.

As stated on the dust cover of his book, "The Revolution" (Grand Central Publishing, 2008), Ron Paul "is the leading advocate of freedom in our nation's capital." Ron Paul never votes against the Constitution and has earned the nickname, "Dr. No".

Ron Paul Fails
To Grasp The Threat

Nonetheless, Congressman Ron Paul has failed to grasp the threat to liberty posed by the United States Constitution. In fact, he holds the belief that the Constitution is the bulwark of American liberty.

Ron Paul states that "Americans must remember that the Constitution was designed to limit the federal government's overall scope. Article I, Section 8, lists the powers of Congress" (p44). This oft-repeated statement is very naive, when we consider the sweeping powers enumerated in this section.

The states were left virtually naked before the monolith of federal power. As Patrick Henry warned, "the powers of both sword and purse are granted to Congress, which is an open invitation to tyranny."

Dr. Paul concludes "The limitations the Constitution placed on the federal government had to be taken seriously if we expected to maintain a free society" (p45). As Patrick Henry so plaintively inquired, "what limitations?"

"Patrick Henry raised precisely this concernin Virginia: wasn't 'general welfare' a dangerously open-ended phrase that would permit the federal government to do whatever it wanted, since government officials could blandly claim that all its measures were intended to promote the general welfare?"

Abuse of Power

Ron Paul goes on to argue that the Constitution's power to raise armies is innocuous. "The power to raise armies is not a power to force people into the army," (p57).

But Patrick Henry clearly foresaw and warned of the danger in the Virginia Ratifying Convention on June 16, 1788. "To me this appears to be a very alarming power, when unlimited (power of raising armies). This unlimited authority is a most dangerous power: its principles are despotic. It is a government of force, and the genius of despotism expressly."

What Ron Paul fails to realize is that the Constitution was dead on arrival in 1787, completely unable to protect us from tyranny from its inception.

Finally, Ron Paul issues this call to action. "It is not too late to rally and recall our people to the constitution, the rule of law, and our traditional American republic" (p67). Notice the totally secular nature of this appeal.

There is no call to repentance before God. Rather there is the futile call to return to the very document by which America rejected government under God.

The Internet We Know And Love Is At Risk. Help Save It.

Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could profoundly affect the future of the internet. It's called the Stop Online Piracy Act.

The fact is that this legislation as written won't stop piracy. But it would pose a serious threat to social media and user generated content sites (like YouTube) across the internet. It could also undermine some of the core technical systems underlying the internet, creating new cybersecurity risks.

As a non-profit committed to keeping the web open and accessible to all, Mozilla wants to ensure that this legislation does not jeopardize the foundational structure of the Internet.

So we've done two things so far:

1) Earlier this week, we wrote a joint letter with Facebook, Google, Twitter, eBay, Yahoo! and other technology companies publicly opposing this legislation -- and placed ads in various influential newspapers across the country.

2) We also joined other organizations in a day of action on November 16th -- when hearings were being held in the U.S. House -- to draw attention to the issue and get people to contact their representatives.

But these are only the first steps toward ensuring that the proposed legislation does not pass as currently written.

If you'd like to get involved, please sign up using the form on the right. We'll be in touch with ways to help in this campaign along with our other efforts to defend and improve the Web.

If you are not in the U.S., please pass this page along to anyone you know in the States -- and I'd encourage you to sign up anyway, to stay informed about what we're up to.

PICKET: New Book Shows How Soros Set Up And Financially Benefited From ’09 Stimulus

Peter Schweizer, a Hoover Institution fellow, explores in his new book, "Throw Them All Out" how Capitol Hill lawmakers financially benefit from their own legislation and manage to sidestep insider information laws. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is under fire for allegedly buying $1 million to $5 million of Visa stock during the credit card company's initial public offering (IPO) phase and later blocked credit card legislation reform two years later. As a result, her investment took off 203 percent. Big Government's Wynton Hall writes:

Despite Pelosi’s consistent railing against credit card companies, on March 18, 2008, the Pelosis bought between $1 million and $5 million (politicians do not have to report the exact amounts, only ranges) worth of Visa stock at the IPO price of $44 per share. Two days later, the stock price rocketed to $65 per share, yielding a 50% profit. The Pelosis then bought Visa twice more. By their third purchase on June 4, 2008, Visa was worth $85 per share.

How did Nancy Pelosi snag one of the most coveted initial public offerings in history? The facts are still emerging. Yet according to Schweizer, corporations that wish to build congressional allies will sometimes hand-pick members of Congress to receive IPOs. Pelosi received her Visa IPO almost two weeks after a potentially damaging piece of legislation for Visa, the Credit Card Fair Fee Act, had been introduced in the House.

If passed, the bill would have cut into Visa’s profits substantially by lowering so-called “interchange fees,” the 1% to 3% charge retailers pay Visa when customers use Visa cards for purchases. Interchange fees are a critical source of revenue for the four credit card companies–$48 billion in 2008, to be exact. If the Credit Card Fair Fee Act had been passed into effect, it would have amended antitrust laws to require credit card companies to enter negotiations with merchants over interchange fees, and it would have given the Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission the power to arbitrate if the two sides failed to come to an agreement. For that reason, Visa and the other credit card companies strongly opposed the bill.

It is not just the lawmakers on Capitol Hill who can make a killing. Their rich and powerful cronies can also financially benefit from intel they receive from Washington D.C. politicians. According to Schweizer's book, George Soros made his way into the Obama White House by becoming one of candidate Obama's "first big catches."

Mr. Soros donated more than $60,000 to Obama's 2004 Senate campaign and helped build the Obama 2008 war chest substantially. Soros gained amazing access to the president and the president's economic agenda immediately after the 2008 election, according to Schweizer, who writes in his book:

"Days after President Obama was elected, Soros was helping to set the agenda. Soros had regular meetings with senior White House officials. He met with Obama’s top economist, Larry Summers,on February 25, 2009. He also had meetings in the Old Executive Office Building with senior officials on March 24 and 25 asthe stimulus was being forged. He was later involved in private discussions concerning widespread financial reform."

"Soros was also a financial backer of the Center for American Progress, which functioned as Obama’s think tank. John Podesta, who headed CAP, was Obama’s transition director. Several CAP policy ideas became part of Obama’s agenda. Soros said at the time, 'I think we need a large stimulus package, which will provide funds for state and local government to maintain their budgets, because they are not allowed by the constitution to run a deficit. For such a program to be successful, the federal government would need to provide hundreds of billions of dollars. In addition, another infrastructure program is necessary. In total, the cost would be in the 300 to 600 billion dollar range.'”

Schweizer found that after "tens of billions" of tax payer dollars were invested in the Democrat backed 2009 stimulus package, in the first quarter of 2009, Soros made a financial windfall by investing in stimulus winners like: Hologic, a maker of diagnostic equipment, which gained from federal funding of medical systems, Emulex, a government contractor that designs fiber channels and software products, and EMC, a data storage company.

I spoke with Schweizer on Sunday night about his book and asked about how the rich and powerful can legally obtain insider information from insider Capitol Hill activity and financially benefit.

Schweizer calls the scheme that Steve Eisman, Warren Buffett, and Soros use the "Baptist and bootlegger strategy."

"What a lot of these guys do like Buffett and Soros or Eisman, in the case of for-profit education, is present themselves as reformers. They present these grand ideas and they're sort of statesman who are just interested in improving the situation in our country, but the reality is, as I point out in the book, at the same time, they're often aggressively trading stocks," Schweizer said.

As I have covered in previous Water Cooler posts, Steve Eisman, a New York hedge fund manager, was brought forth to Capitol Hill to testify before Senator Tom Harkin’s Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee to support the Department of Education's Gainful Employment (GOE) rule.

Supporters of the GOE rule and of Eisman will say he was needed at the hearings, because Eisman provided valuable warnings and insight about the mortgage crisis. Many said Mr. Eisman was only trying to help the country stave off another financial crisis that would stem from the student loan defaults in the for profit school industry.

His participation in the hearings have been severely questioned, though, as the education regulation would financially cripple for profit schools. Evidence that the D.C. based organization CREW found showed that Mr. Eisman was short-selling for-profit schools.

If these schools failed he would financially profit. Congressman Darrell Issa, California Republican, and Senator Mike Enzi, Wyoming Republican, urged the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) to probe into whether or not there were any laws broken, but the SEC has yet to act.

"The Senate confirms the SEC commissioner and they set the budgets for the SEC," says Schweizer who thinks the model of having the SEC investigate such matters is unworkable.

"Warren Buffett, for example during the financial crisis, helped establish the public-private partnership and at the same time, that was going to bail out banks and he helped design it. As he was doing it, he was buying billions of shares in bank stocks," Schweizer added.

Schweizer also explained that Buffett financially profited off the bank stock investments, and it was completely legal, "because for some reason if you do this with government money or with government institutions it's okay. But were he to do that in a scenario with a merger taking place, he would face insider trading laws."

Republican Platforms

Re-thinking their wrong-headed approaches to getting “tough on crime ...

A Letter to the Legacy of a Legend: President John F. Kennedy

Mr. President,

I love people with everything I am worth. As strange as this might sound, I also fear them with a passion. As you know from your short tenure here, it is often people who prove to be the downfall of noble others.

Although I was born eleven years after your assassination, my study and research into American history has shown me I am surrounded by sheep. This particular breed has a warped hankering for conspiracies.

No more glaring example of this exists than your own story. Although Lee Harvey Oswald is accused of slaying you, the perpetrators of this bold act of treason were, in fact, powerful American entities: huge corporations, the massive military complex, members of the Russian government, even the Mafia. Take your pick!

You were the youngest President to assume the White House. Before and after your election, we were exposed to a litany of corrupt American Presidents. You, with your unshakable ethical underpinnings, were an anomaly. I believe whole-heartedly in destiny and fate. I believe you were brought into this topsy-turvy world to open the collective eyes of Americans.

I applaud your noble quest to restore morality to the White House, although it was a hopeless battle from the start. The historic actions that took place during your administration and your unfortunate assassination by power-hungry, modern-day cowboys made us average Americans take note. These cowboys hired gunmen to ambush you from a distance, waiting for the opportune moment to wreak havoc upon our nation. This single action made us notice the corrupt powers hovering — still hovering — over American society.

Your choice to go against the grain instead of following the corrupt flow of history sealed your fate with certain powerful Americans. These men are hidden within the corrupt bowels of secret societies – the very secret societies you boldly denounced. Things have gotten completely out of hand since your death, for these secret societies are running amok within our government. Corruption has become such an epidemic that, for the first time, two politicians (Democratic Senator John F. Kerry and Republican President George W. Bush), who boldly admit their affiliations with the secret society known as the Skull and Bones, went head-to-head in the 2004 Presidential election.

In this election, American votes weren't worth the ballots upon which they were recorded. Both candidates had, and still have, a hidden agenda. Though George W. Bush (a corporation disguised as a human being) won a questionable re-election, society alone elected this man, putting the rule of the South back on the map and allowing the Skull and Bones to pursue its larger objectives.

Mr. President, this describes an ingeniously orchestrated coup d'etat – one more sinister than that surrounding your death. More sinister it is, because it was not a design meant to publicly shock and awe a nation or the world, as in your case. It was a design so covertly cunning that absolutely no one was the wiser – not even our nation's most recognized conspiracy theorists.

In the 2000 race for the White House, Vice President Albert Gore went up against Republican candidate George W. Bush. Mr. President, the chain of events surrounding this particular race were also a strategic coup d'etat. In this election, Americans by the thousands — African Americans, European Americans, Hispanic Americans — were disenfranchised. These voters were predominantly of the middle class, and because of that, they were treated like shit.

In the weeks following the election, these disenfranchised Americans, Americans abroad, and the international community witnessed a bold display of governmental corruption playing itself out in plain view as thousands upon thousands of votes were literally trashed.

This in a country that leads an ongoing campaign for worldwide democracy! The situation was so convoluted in America that the popular vote was ignored and the Electoral College votes were partly the deciding factor. In the end, cloaked Skull and Bones members of the Supreme Court settled this election. And wouldn't you know it, this Supreme Court was — and still is — manned by a body of judges who were put in place by Republican candidate George W. Bush's father, George H. W. Bush. That year, this farce known as the American democratic process showed its true colors for the world to see, as an American president was literally selected, not elected.

But you're still a force to be reckoned with, Mr. Kennedy. Although all of America knew of your sporadic extramarital affairs, they also realize no one is perfect. People act as if, just because you were married and held the title of America's Commander in Chief, they expected you to morph into some sort of drone incapable of recognizing a nice piece of ass when you saw one. Now, I'm not implying that I condone your actions, Mr. President, but then again, who am I in this world to judge you, especially when those actions had no bearing on your extraordinary accomplishments?

Your brother Bobby did everything he could to protect you. After your death, he woke up. Fully recognizing why you chose to seek the Presidency, he took the weight of your objectives upon himself. And he, too, was killed. You and Bobby died as free men — free from the corruption that runs rampant in our government this day. The word freedom was strategically filtered into American minds as a platform to allow big government to control the masses.

Though the story I have to tell will shed new light on your death, I fear it will eventually end up collecting dust. I fear it will be just another book in a long line of books concerning your life and death. Alas, had you lived, I fear your struggle might have been in vain, because Americans are complacent. Many of us choose not to see or acknowledge the evil taking place in our country. In addition, many of us are afraid to speak out. It's much more convenient for these lazy, scared Americans to ride the wave rather than go against the flow.

Mr. President, in closing, I pray you rest in peace, though I realize it has to be one hell of a struggle for you, knowing the mystery that surrounds your slaying is still unsolved. Yet know that many Americans envy you in a big way. Your struggles are over, while our trials continue to rain down upon us. This will continue until destiny and fate deliver another like you — one who is ready, willing, and able to stand tall for average America.

  1. QUESTION:
    Republican Platforms?
In my AP Gov class we have been split up into groups of four to run in an election. One person in each group is the candidate, while the remaining people help run the campaign. Right now I am supposed to be brainstorming 10 platforms for us to run on.... Unfortunately I am the only liberal in the group. It has already been established that they refuse to run on a pro-choice platform, or anything supporting same-sex marriage, and I refuse to run against those, so we will not be discussing them. I am finding it hard to find any platforms we can if not agree on, be civil about. So far I have Border Control, Legalization of Marijuana (it's a group of 18 yr old kids, what do you expect =D), and the Right to Bare Arms. unfortunately I have to find ten more, I was wondering if anyone could come up with some moderate platforms that we could discuss?
Everyone is our group is very passionate about his/her views, it's not something that can be cast aside, part of the project is to set up policies and back them up, unfortunately some people in my group are unable to for some reason, and I'm trying to work around that.

Similarities are they both lie, abuse power and blame the other side for everything that goes wrong. Both parties claim to speak for the American as they further their own personal goals to gain power and pay off special interests that keep them in power. ( Big Oil (R)/Unions (D) ).

Difference is that Democrats believe the government is the solution to all problems by increasing taxes on the wealthy while Republicans claim tax breaks for the wealthy will solve financial problems using trickle down economics.

Republican View

Should A Christian Be A Republican Or A Democrat

Anyone who is a Christian should not necessarily align directly with the Democratic or Republican parties. The fact of the matter is that both major political parties hold some views are in line with Christian principles. For example most Republicans generally tend to be of the pro-life persuasion when it comes to the issue of abortion rights. It can be accurately argued that the pro-life view on abortion is more in line with Christianity. I believe Jesus Christ would agree that all human life is sacred and that includes the unborn who need to be protected.

The arguments against the war in Iraq and the general view of pacifism that is expressed by people like Democratic Representatives Barbara Lee of California and Dennis Kucinich of Ohio tend to be more in line with Christian principles. I tend to believe that Jesus Christ would embrace anti-war and pro-peace views.

People who believe in responsible gun ownership in order to protect and feed your own family for example is generally considered a conservative view, which Republicans agree with. Of course Jesus would want people to only use their gun ownership to protect their lives and their welfare and not as a way to hurt other people.

It is reasonable to say that most Christians believe in giving plenty of their goods to the poor so they can makes the lives of those who have been less fortunate, just a little bit better. Now the question is whether having a progressive income tax, which is something Democrats generally believe in, is the best way to create wealth for the poor or if the best way to go about creating wealth is to cut taxes upon the richest citizens so the rich can provide jobs to the impoverished. This makes tax issues hard for a Christian voter to have a better idea of which major party has their best interests at heart. Some would argue that there is nothing within the teachings of Christianity that say it is a bad idea to keep what you earn, it is something that nearly every Christian and every Christian voter struggles with.

The fact is that Democrats typically seem to take a more aggressive approach as far as protecting the ecosystem within the United States. There are plenty of advocacy groups, such as Republicans for Environmental Protection and the Republican Main Street Partnership, which has a solid record of taking care of God's creations from a Christian perspective.

Issues like the death penalty are also contentious due to the fact that Democrats often oppose the death penalty on moral grounds, but Republicans tend to view the death penalty as a way of bringing in good Christian principles expressing the need for consequences regarding your actions. There are so many issues out there and the truth is that all these matters need to be weighed before someone goes forward with casting their ballot.

We should all be responsible for our own thoughts and opinions, and not strictly aligning our vision with that of any one political party.

  4. QUESTION:
What is the Republican view on leaks to the media?
what would the republican (conservative) view be on leaks to the media?
    thank you

    • ANSWER:
When a "leak" to the media involves national security and the public really has no need to know and it is for notoriety of the "reporter" it is wrong, It's that simple, when some scumbag reporter divulges government secrets for no other than their personal gain there is a problem. In that same respect when they do not report on something for political reasons (getting a tingle up their leg, etc) there is also an issue of lack of integrity and ethics.
  5. QUESTION:
What is the republican view on taxes?
What is the general republican view on taxes? Do they support them? Are they against them? Which taxes do they want to implement?
Help me do my project please. Thanks.

    • ANSWER:
They accept the fact that taxes are necessary. The believe that government, especially Federal government should be kept as small as possible with a corresponding restraint on taxes. They believe that local and state services should be of local and state concern and funded through taxes on that level, decided on by that constituency, not the Feds.

The Changing Republican Brand

What are the political parties’ policies on NHS management costs?

The Evolving Brands of Political Parties

Ten years ago when someone would think of the Republican party, "web savvy" and "grassroots" would not be words that come to mind. I remember George W. Bush showcasing his tech ignorance when he used the term "internets" in the 2000 presidential campaign and most famously during the 2004 presidential debates. During the 2008 campaign, John McCain admitted he never felt the need to use email. It's easy to see why Republicans have been caricatured as a party of old men out of touch with the technology.

In 2000, the term "grassroots" would not be a commonly used word to describe conservatives. Grassroots campaigning belonged to the progressive Democratic party. The Democratic party has always been branded as the party of the common man and political activist. From Vietnam to the Iraqi war, the progressives were the ones organizing at a community level and protesting for or against a cause.

How that has all changed. In 2010, it's not a Democrat who is the most effective at leveraging the power of the web and social media, it's a Republican- Sarah Palin. When she tweets or posts on Facebook, it's a national news story. She posts a message about "death panels" during the health care debate and it's part of the national discourse.

The Republicans' brand as a party of rich, country club fat cats who only donate money and don't personally volunteer has also changed. When the tea party first came out, people like Nancy Pelosi would brand the movement as "astro turf" and really just an artificial movement funded by special interest. That has turned out not to be the case. Love or hate them, the tea party is a national force that will have major impact on the 2012 presidential election.

Brands can evolve over time. As a small business owner, one should complete a SWOT analysis of their own company. S (Strengths) W (Weaknesses) O (Opportunities) and T (Threats). When you're a start up, a common weakness listed can be " clients view us as inexperienced." That may be a component of your brand when you start out, but it can be quickly be part of the past as you effectively build brand awareness and solidify a position in the market. Just think of the political parties and how their brand positions can change.

Obama The Deficit Spending President

By Delwyn Lounsbury - THE DEFLATION GURU

Barack Hussein Obama "The Deficit Spending President" continues to blame the recent Standard and Poor's downgrade of U.S. debt from AAA to AA+ on everything from the tsunami in Japan and the "Arab Spring" Muslim (Jihadist) Brotherhood take over in Egypt to the grassroots political movement called the Tea Party (truly a needed growing libertarian political force that has the Democrats worried). Mitt Romney said, "Standard & Poor's downgrade is a deeply troubling indicator of our country's decline under President Obama. His failed policies have led to high unemployment, skyrocketing deficits, and now, the unprecedented loss of our nation's prized AAA credit rating."

Obama keeps blasting business for having corporate jets and he insists on raising our taxes to pay for his socialistic economic programs. How many more jobs will be lost when the building and staffing of airplanes comes to a grinding halt? He is killing the goose that laid the golden egg - capitalism.

Socialism (now called progressive by the lying mainstream media) really got kick started by Franklin Roosevelt's "New Deal" was goosed by Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society" and now is culminating in "Big Brother" Obama's one world government welfare state, food stamp giveaway and ObamaCare. This means big bloated government at all levels threatens to deflate the economy and hasten the onslaught of the GREATER DEPRESSION. The parasite is finally killing the host. Deflationary depression dead ahead! Cash is King!

Obama is driving a wedge between Americans by making them feel guilty for being successful thereby convincing business people to cut back and not hire, not borrow, not lend and not grow their business or start new ones. Two or three years of nine percent unemployment will surely kick the multiplier effect in economics into reverse and be impossible to overcome. The multiplier means more layoffs as companies looking at their sales numbers on the computer screen quickly make the decision to cut as the economy snowballs downhill in a vicious cycle. In August of 2011 HSBC bank announced it was laying off a whopping 30,000 workers worldwide.

In addition, people unsure about the future curtail their buying and start saving. Already we see a savings rate of five percent up from below zero a few years ago. It was reported today house sales are down again and we are even paying down our credit card balances.

What Standard & Poor's said about the downgrade was: "We lowered our long-term rating on the U.S. because we believe that the prolonged controversy over raising the statutory debt ceiling and the related fiscal policy debate indicate that further near-term progress containing the growth in public spending, especially on entitlements ...falls short of the amount that we believe is necessary to stabilize the general government debt-burden by the middle of the decade."

Finally, this Obama wealth redistribution nonsense of raising the takes on the rich needs to be called what it is - Class Warfare right out of the Communism/Marxism 101 textbook. See my article: Obama the socialist communist Marxist fascist Nazi. Obama's use of the word invest or investment 12 times in a recent speech is covert communist code comrade for pet pork projects predominantly proffered politically producing paltry profits - if any at all.

I will predict right here the next Obama tyranny (besides having we the taxpayers pay for his million dollar campaign bus and his thinly veiled NATO assassination attempt of Muammar Kaddafi in Libya) will be mudslinging rhetoric and personal attack of his opponents in the 2012 presidential race instead of an honorable debate on the issues and facts. The facts are Obama is ruining America and usurping your Constitution mandated freedoms.

Stop the spending? The latest raising of the debt ceiling by our profligate president Obama "The Deficit Spending President" actually allows theU.S.national debt to increase by trillion dollars in the next ten years to .5 trillion. What? It's already ,000 per every man, woman and child in this country and scheduled to go ballistic with unfunded Medicare and social security entitlements. Entitlements are socialism sucking and redistributing money from workers to non workers and every tax is a price fix hurting business and free enterprise if you want the truth.
